Rachel Sostrin has been a Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury Trial Attorney since 2002. She has worked as a lawyer at Sostrin and Sostrin her entire legal career. She has been selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer (5% of the attorneys in Illinois) and Rising Star (Top 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois).
Her legal practice concentrates in representing the rights of the injured both before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, and the Illinois Circuit Court.
She has served as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee. Rachel also serves on the Judicial Evaluation Committee for both the Chicago Bar Association and for the Decalogue Society of Lawyers. She also serves as the Financial Secretary of the Executive Board for the Decalogue Society of Lawyers. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University, with High Honors. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Rachel is the third generation of attorneys practicing at Sostrin and Sostrin; she is the daughter of Ellis Sostrin and the granddaughter of Nathan Sostrin (1916-1994), the founder of Sostrin and Sostrin. In addition to her professional activities, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and chasing around her two very busy sons.
